(TSX: OPT), an innovative software company that delivers mission-critical monetization and subscriber management solutions to leading communication service providers (CSPs) globally, today announced that the company’s official name change from Redknee Solutions Inc. to Optiva Inc., including a ticker symbol change, has been finalized.
The name change, first announced on January 16, 2018, was approved last week at the company’s Annual and Special Meeting. Shareholders passed a resolution to amend the company’s articles, completing the shareholder and regulatory processes. The official effective date for the name change was March 29, 2018.
Effective April 5, 2018, the company will trade on the Toronto Stock Exchange under a new ticker symbol — TSX: OPT.
Implementation of the rebranding began with the January announcement, and already the new brand is helping to propel Optiva. This was evidenced by the company’s recent success at Mobile World Congress and early feedback and positive reception of the new brand strategy by partners and CSPs.
Redefining the company’s brand and the new, vibrant visual identity is an essential step in its global restructuring and transformation. The name Optiva comes from a combination of the Greek prefix “opti-,” meaning light and sight and the word “value.”
